First of all, this is the craziest start of the year that any of us could have ever imagined. I hope that you and your families have had a safe and relaxing Summer and are ready to get right back into the swing of things, even if it doesn't look the same this year. The Band website will have resources for students, and parents which will include academic materials relating to class as well as items such as the calendar for the year.
The goal of our instrumental music programs is to provide a safe, challenging, and rigorous environment where students can explore their full potential in instrumental music (Band). Our program services over 270 students between two schools, La Grande Middle School for grades 6, 7, and 8. And La Grande High School, grades 9 through 12. Students who participate in our band programs will have opportunities to perform in a variety of venues which includes trips within the valley, and across the state. This website was designed to help you, the band parent, and student, to keep informed.
Above you will notice tabs for each band, available lessons, forms that need to be signed and returned, additional information to parents, our handbook, my contact information and a support page (still in construction). I invite you to explore, and read up on the many exciting opportunities available to you as you progress in the La Grande Band Program!
